Michelle Lester

Michelle was a multitalented watercolor artist, illustrator and contemporary fiber artist. She spent 20 years of her life devoted to tapestries and expanded into carpet design and murals — all inspired by her watercolors. She often worked with landscapes, some highly stylized and others realistic. Michelle spent many years in her New York City studio, where Rita worked as a studio manager.

Michelle’s works were represented by many art, craft and interior design publications. Her clients included Yanbu Medical Center, Sheraton Grande (Saudi Arabia), TRW (Japan), Touche Ross, and IBM, whose art collection includes 33 tapestries of Michelle’s. She leaves us with these remarkable works, available only at Rita’s Dream Weaving Studio.
